10th March, Mumbai: Makoons Play School in Mansarovar Park recently celebrated the vibrant and colorful festival of Holi with great enthusiasm and fervor. The school’s students and teachers gathered together to mark the occasion with various activities and events.
The festivities started with a special assembly where students were educated about the significance and history of Holi. They learned about the legends associated with the festival and the various ways it is celebrated across India. The assembly was followed by a fun-filled session of music and dance, where students danced to the beats of popular Holi songs.
The highlight of the celebration was the rangoli competition, where students showcased their creativity by creating beautiful designs using colorful powders and flowers. The competition was keenly contested, and the judges had a tough time selecting the winners. The students also enjoyed playing with water and colors, throwing water balloons at each other, and spraying colored water. They were all dressed in white clothes, and soon their clothes were soaked in hues of pink, blue, green, and yellow, reflecting the spirit of the festival.
A special feast was arranged for the students, with a range of traditional Holi delicacies such as gujiya, mathri, and thandai, which they savored and relished. The teachers and staff members also joined in the celebrations, adding to the joyous atmosphere.
