Trump Warns 50 Percent Tariffs on Any Nation Supplying Weapons to Iran

In a post on Truth Social, Trump emphasized that no country providing military equipment to Iran would escape swift economic penalties.
"A Country supplying Military Weapons to Iran will be immediately tariffed, on any and all goods sold to the United States of America, 50%, effective immediately. There will be no exclusions or exemptions! President DJT," wrote Trump.
He also stated that there will be no further uranium enrichment by Iran. Both countries, he mentioned, would collaborate on digging up and removing nuclear materials that had been buried following a U.S. airstrike last year. 

Trump cites “regime change”

Trump shared another update on Truth Social, announcing that the United States would "work closely" with Iran after what he described as a "very productive Regime Change" in the country. He indicated that significant elements of an agreement between Washington and Tehran have already been established.
"The United States will work closely with Iran, which we have determined has gone through what will be a very productive Regime Change! There will be no enrichment of Uranium, and the United States will, working with Iran, dig up and remove all of the deeply buried (B-2 Bombers) Nuclear 'Dust.' It is now, and has been, under very exacting Satellite Surveillance (Space Force!). Nothing has been touched from the date of attack. We are, and will be, talking Tariff and Sanctions relief with Iran. Many of the 15 points have already been agreed to," he added.

Two‑week ceasefire

This warning follows a recent agreement among the United States, Iran, and Israel to pause fighting for two weeks as a step towards de-escalating tensions. Tehran has signaled its readiness to begin negotiations with Washington in Islamabad on Friday. Trump has eased earlier threats of a direct military strike against Iran and has signed a two-week ceasefire. Iran has accepted this truce, agreeing to conditionally reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global oil route. 

Permanent Deal nears finalization

Trump noted that Iran has accepted nearly all of the longstanding points of contention, and he believes the two-week timeframe could help in reaching a permanent agreement.
"Almost all of the various points of past contention have been agreed to between the United States and Iran, but a two-week period will allow the Agreement to be finalised and consummated. On behalf of the United States of America, as President, and also representing the Countries of the Middle East, it is an Honor to have this long-term problem close to resolution," Trump said.
