IPL 2025 Final: Punjab Kings v/s Royal Challengers Bengaluru; which team will win their first maiden title?

New Delhi (India) June 3: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 final match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) will take place on Tuesday. The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad Gujarat, will host the match.

The intense IPL match is expected to be an exciting thriller since the two teams that dominated the entire season. It's interesting to point out that both the teams are trying to win their first maiden title.

At Narendra Modi Stadium, neither team has a record advantage, but PBKS has an advantage due to their recent matches at the stadium.

Three matches between RCB and PBKS have already taken place this season. In their first match, Punjab Kings won, but RCB won the next two games which also included Qualifier 1.

This season's first game for RCB will take place in Ahmedabad, whereas the Punjab Kings have already played two games and won both the games.

They had defeated Gujarat Titans on March 25 with a score of 243/5. They also became the first team in IPL history to chase a target of more than 200 against the Mumbai Indians in a playoff game.

The current weather forecast isn't looking good, so it might cause problems in the final match.

AccuWeather reports that there is a 66% probability of rain in Ahmedabad on Sunday afternoon. By the evening, the weather is predicted to improve, with only 5% chance of rain. But if the weather is bad enough to cancel the match completely on June 3 or even if it is necessary to finish a game that has already started, there is a backup day scheduled for June 4.

On the other hand, it is also possible for both days to be cancelled, in that case the team with the highest point total will win the IPL trophy.

RCB has played at the biggest stadium six times and has won 3 matches and lost 3 matches. The Punjab Kings have played 7 matches at the stadium and have won 4 matches and lost 3 matches.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru team includes Virat Kohli, Phil Salt, Mayank Agarwal, Rajat Patidar (captain), Liam Livingstone, Jitesh Sharma, Romario Shepherd, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yash Dayal, Josh Hazlewood and Suyash Sharma.

The Punjab Kings team include Prabhsimran Singh, Priyansh Arya, Josh Inglis, Shreyas Iyer (captain), Nehal Wadhera, Shashank Singh, Marcus Stoinis, Azmatullah Omarzai, Kyle Jamieson, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal and Vijaykumar Vyshak.
