4th July 2023,Mumbai: Ushna Shah, a Pakistani actor, wed Hamza Amin, a Pakistani golfer, earlier this year. Around that time, numerous images and videos of the newlyweds were uploaded on social media, and many Pakistanis criticised Ushna for wearing a red lehenga as her bridal attire. Ushna is already garnering attention once more for her article regarding Anurag Kashyap. Ushna claimed that Anurag introduced her to Hamza, her husband.
In an undated photo with him, Ushna referred to Anurag as a “genius” and “a maestro of his craft.” She described herself as “a perpendicular genius; maestro of his craft” in the Instagram caption. A place where I learned a lot. (Also the reason I met my hubby).”
It’s unclear whether the photo was just taken or if it dates back in time. The picture appears to have been taken during an event, and both Anurag and Ushna are wearing casual attire. She is dressed in beige and blue, while he is dressed in black.
Fans were drawn to Ushna’s picture with Anurag. Many people expressed interest in her admission that the Indian filmmaker had helped her meet her husband.
A fan remarked, “Noooo wayyyy (fire emojis).” Another person wrote, “I did not anticipate this? You know him in what way? Any progress on a project?”
Others lavished Anurag with affection. “Bollywood’s very own Tarantino (Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino). Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Nawaz (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), and others stars were made because of Anurag.”
He has helmed a number of critically praised movies, including as Kennedy, which starred Sunny Leone and had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023, Dev.D, and Gangs of Wasseypur.
Ushna and Hamza wed in Karachi in February. Soon after their wedding, some social media users criticised the actor for wearing a red lehenga, and some even took issue with the Pakistani actor dancing during the celebrations. After receiving criticism for “dressing up like an Indian bride” in a crimson bridal lehenga, Ushna had responded.
Ushna informed the people inspecting her wedding attire that they were not responsible for paying for her lehenga. She further stated that ‘those who have a problem with her outfit’ were not invited to her wedding.
The actor had commented on Instagram Stories, “Mrs Amin (referring to her husband’s name) to those who have a problem with my dress: you weren’t invited, nor did you pay for my shade of red, along with a snapshot of herself wearing her red bridal lehenga and offering a glimpse of her mehendi. My jewellery and my jora, or wedding attire, are entirely Pakistani. However, my heart is half-Austrian (she was referring to her spouse). “May God keep us joyful, in the name of Allah, humein khush rakhey.” She continued by writing, “Beigaani shaadi mein jo inunived photographers ghuss gaye, unko salaam (my greetings to the uninvited photographers who came to our wedding).”
