CBI Rushes to Delhi HC Against Kejriwal, Sisodia Discharge in Liquor Policy Scam
As a huge relief to Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, a Delhi court discharged the former Delhi Chief Minister and his former deputy in this intensely politicized liquor policy case.
New Delhi (India) February 27:The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed an urgent appeal in the Delhi High Court challenging a lower court's Friday (February 27) order discharging former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and 21 others who were alleged to be implicated in the high-stakes Delhi Excise Policy scam.
“We will appeal in the Hon’ble [Delhi] High Court against the judgment of the Trial Court immediately since several aspects of the investigation have either been ignored or not considered adequately,” the CBI had said earlier.
