Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 9: Having carved a niche in both Bollywood and regional cinema, acclaimed choreographer Prince Gupta is once again set to impress audiences with his dynamic choreography and strong visual storytelling in the highly anticipated Gujarati thriller Surprise. Known for infusing high-octane energy into every frame, Prince continues to push the possibilities of dance as a cinematic medium, with a special focus on delivering visuals that enhance the overall narrative.
The promotional title track for Surprise, featuring a star-studded cast including Helly Shah, Vatsal Seth, and Jahnvi Chauhan, is already generating buzz, thanks in no small part to Prince’s unmistakable style. Seamlessly blending rhythm, narrative, and striking visuals, the choreography is designed to captivate the audience and enhance the impact of the film’s suspenseful plot.
Prince made his debut in Gujarati films with the hit Tu To Gayo, and has since become a household name through chartbusters such as Madhro Darudo in the film Ha Ha Car, Hokaliyo in Jija Sala Jija, Naach in The Great Gujarati Matrimony, and the title song of Kasoombo.
With a unique and rare ability to mix classical finesse with contemporary beats, Prince’s routines consistently strike a chord with younger audiences while retaining cultural resonance, making him one of the most sought-after talents in the industry.
Reflecting on his work in Surprise, Prince said, “This film allowed me to explore a darker, more nuanced palette of choreography with moves that not only look good, but also enhance the tension, play with rhythm and complement the thriller’s visual tone. The visuals are a big part of what makes these songs stand out. I am confident the audiences will see a different flavour in this one, and I cannot wait for the movie to release.”
Beyond Gujarati cinema, Prince’s Bollywood project, Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji, released on Monday. The film showcases yet another dimension of his craft, reaffirming his status as a versatile force across the entertainment industry. His upcoming Bollywood films include Welcome 3 and Baap, starring Sunny Deol.
Prince was one of the most popular participants in the first season of India’s biggest dance reality show, Dance India Dance, and brings over seven years of experience in Bollywood, along with five formative years as Chief Assistant Choreographer to Ahmed Khan. His credits span more than 100 films and 250 songs across Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, and Punjabi cinema.
Among his most recognised Bollywood works are hit tracks such as Dus Bahane (Baaghi 3), Dafa Kar (Heropanti 2), Kala Sha Kala (Om: The Battle Within), and Kudiye Ni Teri (Selfiee), each carrying his signature blend of mass appeal and technical precision.
With Surprise set to release soon, all eyes are on how Prince Gupta will once again transform dance moves into a narrative force, this time with a thrilling twist and a strong visual punch.
