Supriya Sule Criticizes Air India Over Flight Delays: Here's What She Said

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India] March 22: NCP MP Supriya Sule objected to Air India on Saturday for "uniform improper handling" and said that flight delays were a regular problem that impacted those who paid expensive airfares.

Sule was extremely upset because the Air India flight she had booked was one hour and 19 minutes late.

She pointed out that flights frequently arrive late even though people pay a lot for them and asked Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu to hold the company answerable for the numerous delays.

"Flights are always being late—this is not okay! Although we pay a lot for our journeys, they are never on time. "This constant bad management impacts professionals, children, and seniors," the Baramati MP stated on X.

Sule said she was taking Air India flight AI0508, which was one hour and nineteen minutes late.

Part of a continuous trend of delayed affecting passengers," she stated.

Sule wanted stricter regulations to be put in place to make airlines like Air India responsible for their constant delays and improve customer service.

Sule told media that flight trackers were broken and gave wrong information

"The flight map showed that the plane was in the air, but I was stuck at the Delhi airport." It's something I'll talk about with the Minister of Civil Aviation," Sule said.

A question sent to Air India about Sule's fees was yet to be answered

Tata Group-owned Air India came under fire by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan last month for giving him a "broken and sunk" seat. Chouhan's ministerial colleague K. Rammohan Naidu told the airline to take "essential action" after Chouhan's tantrum.

Air India said they were sorry for what happened and asked for a "thorough inquiry." The DGCA also asked the airline to give a report on the situation.

To open a farmers' fair in Pusa, Chouhan got on Air India flight AI436 from Bhopal that was going to Delhi.

"I was given seat number 8C." When I got to my seat and sat down, it was broken and sunk. "It was unpleasant to sit," the former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh had said.

The Union Minister said that more than one seat on the plane was in the same condition.Chouhan said that he thought Air India's service would have got better after Tata took over, but he was wrong. He said it was wrong to charge people the full fare and then make them sit on broken or uneasy seats. "Isn't this a form of dishonesty towards passengers?"

After Chouhan talked about his experience on X, Air India said they were sorry for the "inconvenience" and asked for a "thorough" study into what happened.
