3rd June 2023, Mumbai: The upcoming 2023 edition of Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC; June 5-9) is expected to include a sneak peek at iOS 17, which, when released, will be the latest version (iOS 16.5 was released in May) of the tech giant’s iOS operating system.

According to Livemint, after providing a glimpse of iOS 17, the business will release a beta version of the software, followed by a stable version in the autumn.

To download iOS beta version or wait for stable one?

According to Livemint, the iOS 17 beta version is still in the testing phase and may have errors and anomalies. This, in turn, may cause stability difficulties, some apps to fail, and the iPhone’s overall functionality to suffer.

As a result, for a stable and optimum user experience, people must wait for the stable version. It will improve the entire experience.

What is a ‘beta’ version?

Every year, from June to September, Apple collaborates with developers and public testers to refine an upcoming iOS version. The version released for developers and beta testers is called ‘beta’; this is done to identify and resolve problems with the software, if any, before a general release.

iOS 16.6, which was released on May 20, is the software’s most recent ‘beta’ version.


How can I download the iOS 17 beta?


(1.) Go to this link and select ‘Sign Up’ to register with your Apple ID.

(2.) Log in to the beta software programme and choose ‘Enrol your iOS device.’

(3.) Navigate to ‘Settings’ and then to the ‘General’ section before tapping on ‘Software Update.’

(4.) Finally, select the ‘iOS Public Beta’ option from the ‘Beta Updates’ menu.
