With a simple selection of “Translate” on a dismissible banner, users can now read and comprehend messages in their preferred language. Google elaborated that the dismissible banner will appear when the content language of a message differs from the user’s chosen ‘Google.com Mail display language’ in their account settings.

Gmail users can take full control of this translation feature by specifying their preferences. The option to either consistently translate or permanently abstain from translating specific languages empowers users to tailor their communication experience. Notably, this feature is not subject to administrative control, giving individuals the flexibility to personalize their interactions.
