"Trump is Dead" Trend Sparks Health Rumors as Social Media Speculates on US President’s Bruises and Public Absence
The Saturday trend "Trump is Dead" takes over X. It triggers ongoing speculation regarding the health of the 79-year-old US president.

New Delhi (India) August 30: Donald Trump, the president of the United States has been trending on social media for all the odd reasons. Over 56,900 posts stating that "Trump is dead" were trending on social media on Saturday. It fuels continuous and widespread rumors on the 79-year-old's health. For months, Trump's health has been a hot topic. It has been since the US president was spotted in July with ankle swelling and bruising on his hand.
The White House quickly denied the rumors at that time. But in recent days, similar pictures of his bruises that seem to be covered in makeup have gone viral on social media.
JD Vance Denies Health Concerns
The rumors also gain speed after US Vice President JD Vance stated in an August 27 interview that he is prepared to take over in the event of a "terrible tragedy." However, he emphasized that Trump was in "incredibly good health". He was fit and active.
Vance said, "I've gotten a lot of good on-the-job training over the last 200 days. And if, God forbid, there's a terrible tragedy, I can't think of better on-the-job training than what I've gotten."
According to the US Vice-President, Trump is still in "incredible shape". He is still working hard late into the night and early in the morning. Vance is the third-youngest vice president in US history at 41. Trump is the oldest president to take office at 79.
Concerns Over Trump’s Visible Bruises
Concerns have been expressed about Trump's ongoing lack of public appearances. The White House has not commented on any of these rumors. But it should be noted that they are all social media rumors.
The rumours also gains momentum after photos of the 79-year-old's right hand during an Oval Office meeting appeared bruised and partially covered in makeup. The back of Trump's right hand was bruised in pictures taken earlier this week. This was when the US president met with his South Korean counterpart Lee Jae Myung.
The White House had expressed concern earlier in July after photos showed that Trump's ankles were swollen. Medical tests revealed that he had chronic venous insufficiency. It is a vein condition that is common in people over 70.
President’s Recent Public Activity
The US President has not been entirely out of the news. His most recent post on Truth Social was made at 3.40 am today. The post was regarding a US Appeals Court decision. The decision declared the majority of his broad reciprocal tariffs on nations, including India, "illegal".
Online rumors regarding the health of the US President remain despite the official explanations. The "Trump Is Dead" trend is emerging as the newest trend to spark controversy.
