Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Criticized for Dressing Casual During Meeting with Donald Trump

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], December 9: Volodymyr Zelensky faced heavy criticism for his casual attire during a high-profile meeting with US President-elect Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris. Instead of opting for formal wear, Volodymyr Zelensky appeared in a rugged black sweatshirt, black slacks, and brown combat boots, a stark contrast to the formal suits worn by both Trump and Macron. His outfit was also seen during the formal reopening of the Notre Dame cathedral, an event attended by world leaders. 

Roger Stone Shows Disappointment

This fashion choice quickly sparked backlash, particularly from Trump advisor Roger Stone, who called the outfit 'disrespectful to the American people.' Roger Stone questioned Volodymyr Zelensky's decision not to wear a suit, asking, "Do you not own a suit?" He also criticized the inconsistency and pointed out that Volodymyr Zelensky had worn a suit and tie at the World Economic Forum but chose not to dress up for such an important occasion.

Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned in an X post, "We all want this war to end as soon as possible and in a just way. We spoke about our people, the situation on the ground, and a just peace."
