New Delhi (India) July 10: Novak Djokovic is making it to the Wimbledon semifinals for a record 14th time. His dancing skills are also drawing a lot of attention.

Djokovic said, "Huge congratulations to Flavio for an amazing tournament. Great performance from him. He's definitely one of the guys we'll be seeing much more in the future” after the match.

DJOKOVIC CELEBRATORY DANCE

In the quarterfinals, Djokovic defeated Flavio Cobolli of Italy in four sets, 6-7 (6), 6-2, 7-5, 6-4. He then turned to the spectators, gestured to his children, and performed the "Pump It Up" dance, a playful celebration that quickly became his Wimbledon trademark.

The 38-year-old looked directly at his son and daughter in the Centre Court crowd as he performed a mirrored downward fist-pumping dance. The stadium was filled with smiles as his kids joined in from the stands and danced with their father.

The moves that Djokovic brought to Centre Court were not new. He had celebrated courtside with his daughter Tara after his victory over Alex de Minaur in the fourth round. In Serbian, the dance is known as "pumpa," which means "pump it up."

DJOKOVIC TIES CHRIS EVERT'S RECORD

Chris Evert's record for the Open Era was tied by Djokovic's victory over Cobolli. It also marked his 102nd Wimbledon victory and 52nd Grand Slam semifinal appearance. However, the crowd's affection has been won over by these happy post-match rituals with his children.

The 38-year-old also continued to hold his own record of 14 Wimbledon semi-final appearances. In a highly anticipated semifinal, Djokovic will next play against world No.1 Jannik Sinner.

NOVAK'S STRONG PERFORMANCE

Cobolli forced a tiebreak after Djokovic earned a break in the first set. He took a 3-1 lead in the breaker and ultimately ended the set.

In the second set, Djokovic fought and levelled the match with a double break. Despite strong competition, Djokovic won with a 7-5 lead in the third set.

The pattern was the same for the fourth set. Djokovic served to end the match after breaking to take a 5–4 lead. Cobolli saved both of his match points, including one that Djokovic earned after he slipped on the court, at 40-15. The seven-time Wimbledon champion fought and ended the match.
