Suleiman Dawood, Shahzada’s 19-year-old son, was also on board the submarine. Described as a science fiction enthusiast and a volleyball player, Suleiman accompanied his father on the ill-fated expedition.Shahzada Dawood and his son embarked on the submarine on June 18 with the intention of exploring the wreckage of the Titanic. However, there has been no communication with the duo since the submarine went missing. Shahzada’s wife, Christina, and daughter, Alina, anxiously await news about their family’s well-being.

Engro Corporation released a statement acknowledging Shahzada Dawood’s involvement in the expedition. They confirmed that he, along with his son Suleiman, embarked on the journey to visit the remnants of the Titanic in the Atlantic Ocean.

During the early hours of Sunday, OceanGate Expeditions’ submarine began its descent into the ocean’s depths. With five individuals on board, the submersible reached a depth of 12,500 feet. However, after approximately an hour and forty-five minutes, contact with the mothership, MV Polar Prince, was lost. Experts suggest that deploying a remotely operated vehicle with a maximum depth of 20,000 feet might be the only viable option for rescuing the survivors.
