Acharya Vasudev Ji’s Shiva Tattva Katha & Dev Foundation’s Sharanagathi Program Illuminate Bengaluru on Auspicious Pournami

On the sacred night of Pournami, when the full moon radiated its divine brilliance, Bengaluru witnessed a spiritual celebration that touched the hearts of hundreds. The Shiva Tattva Katha, delivered by Acharya Vasudev Ji — renowned Advaita Vedanta scholar, respected Shiva Katha Vachak, and founder of the Dev Foundation — became the centerpiece of the event, uniting eminent personalities, devotees, and seekers.
Distinguished guests included Shri L. A. Ravi Subramanya, MLA (Basavanagudi); Shri Somasundar Dikshit, President, Gavi Gangadhareshwara Temple; Dr. Subramanya Sharma, grandchild of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan; and Smt. Mamatha Devraja, Member, Bangalore Medical Council, who joined the gathering alongside devotees from all walks of life.
Acharya Vasudev Ji: Visionary, Messenger, and Torchbearer of Sanatana Wisdom
What sets Acharya Ji apart is his rare fusion of ancient knowledge and modern understanding. With a B.Tech and management background, he brings the clarity of a professional thinker and the depth of a realized master. His discourses bridge generations — from students and professionals to homemakers and spiritual seekers.
Every Katha he narrates is not just a story but a transformative journey. His narration blends poetic rhythm, philosophical precision, and heartfelt devotion, leaving audiences spellbound. For many, his discourses dissolve barriers between mythology, philosophy, and daily life — offering a wisdom that is at once timeless and practical.
Journey Into Shiva Tattva
The evening’s Katha carried devotees into the profound essence of Shiva Tattva. Acharya Ji began by highlighting the power of Naam Jap, especially Om Namah Shivaya. He explained that chanting is not mere repetition but a spiritual current that gathers the scattered mind, dissolves lifetimes of karma, and reveals the Divine residing within.
From there, he guided listeners into the mystery of Shiva — both as Linga (manifest) and Alinga (unmanifest). To see Shiva only in external form, he reminded, is incomplete. True realization dawns when one experiences Shiva as silence, bliss, and unity beyond duality.
“Acharya Ji unfolded the mystery of the Five Shuddha Tattvas and illuminated the grandeur of Shiva’s Panchakrityas.” Together, they explain life as a dance of stillness and motion, of the visible and invisible.
Arunachala’s Eternal Glory
Quoting the sacred verse from Arunachala Mahatmyam, Acharya Ji declared with reverence:
darśanād abhrasād asi, jananāt kamalālayae |
kāśyām tu maraṇāt muktiḥ, smaraṇād aruṇācale ||
“With Arunachala, even remembrance alone is liberation. One does not require birth there, nor darshan, nor even death in its precincts. To merely remember Arunachala from afar is to burn karmas and attain Moksha.”
Encouraging devotees, he urged them to visit Tiruvannamalai, the abode of Arunachala, to deepen their connection with Shiva.
Voices From the Gathering
The event left participants moved and transformed:
-
“For the first time, I understood Shiva Tattva so clearly. Acharya Ji’s teaching felt effortless,” said a young professional.
-
“Naam Jap became alive for me today — I felt Shiva’s grace entering my heart,” shared an elderly devotee.
-
“Guruji showed me that devotion doesn’t require big rituals. Even simple daily chanting can bring peace to my home,” reflected a homemaker.
Blessings on Pournami Night
As the program concluded, Acharya Ji offered his blessings:
“Just as the moon shines in fullness on Pournami, may your lives too reflect the fullness of truth. Shiva is not outside — He is your awareness, your breath, your being. To live in this knowing is to live free.”
The evening closed with collective chanting of Om Namah Shivaya and Shiva Sankeertan, filling the atmosphere with divine energy.
Dev Foundation’s Mission Continues
Through initiatives like Shiva Katha and Sharangathi programs, the Dev Foundation continues to inspire seekers across India. Just as the moon on Pournami illuminates the night sky, Shiva Tattva lights the inner path, guiding humanity toward peace, wholeness, and freedom.
For Bengaluru, this night will be remembered as a moment when the moon, mantra, and message of Shiva merged into one timeless experience.
