BCCI Announced Annual Player Contracts List of 2024-2025, See Which Cricketers Got Promotion and Demotion

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India] April 21: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced Annual Player Contracts for Team India (Senior Men) for the 2024-25 season (October 1st, 2024 to September 30th, 2025). In notable changes, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan have been handed Grade B and Grade C contracts, respectively, after going without one last year. Their absence from the central contracts had created quite a flutter as they had opted against playing Ranji Trophy, a move that didn’t sit well with the Indian cricket board.

There are no changes in the A+ category which continues to be occupied by Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja. R Ashwin has not been handed a contract since his retirement from Test cricket during the tour of Australia.

India Test wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has been bumped from Grade B to Grade A in the four-tier system that features 34 players across categories of Grade A+, Grade A, Grade B and Grade C.

Contracts have also been handed to Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Abhishek Sharma, Akash Deep, Varun Chakaravarthy and Harshit Rana.

Meanwhile, not appearing in the latest list are: Shardul Thakur, Jitesh Sharma, KS Bharat, Avesh Khan.
