BLA attacks the Pakistani Army; soldiers killed in Balochistan

New Delhi(India) May 8: According to the BLA, its liberation fighters used a remote-controlled device to target the army convoy. According to the report, the bomb killed multiple soldiers and damaged the enemy truck. A frequently used plot in similar cases is the allegation of India's participation in the attack made by ISPR, the media and public relations branch of the Pakistani military.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said: “On May 6, 2025, terrorists belonging to Indian proxy, so-called ‘Baloch Liberation Army’, targeted security forces’ vehicle with an improvised explosive device in general area Mach.”

“Terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy, so called Baloch Liberation Army, targeted security forces’ vehicles with an improvised explosive device in the general area Mach-Kachhi district. Resultantly, seven personnel embraced shahadat.”

“Nefarious designs of India and its proxies operating on Pakistani soil will be defeated by the valiant security forces, LEAs (law enforcement agencies) and the brave nation of Pakistan,” the ISPR also added.

In the first attack, a Pak military van in the Shorkand region of Mach, Bolan, was targeted by the Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS) of the Baloch Liberation Army using a remote-controlled Improvised Explosive Device (IED).

All 12 soldiers on the truck, including Special Operations Commander Tariq Imran and Subedar Umar Farooq, were reportedly killed by the strong blast. The blast totally destroyed the military vehicle.

In the second incident, Baloch militants attacked a Pakistani Army Bomb Disposal Squad in Kech's Kulag Tigran area.

At around 2:40 PM, the BLA fighters launched a remote-controlled improvised explosive device as the unit were carrying out clearance operations. This attack killed two members of the Pakistani army.

BLA representative Jeeyand Baloch questions the Pakistani army and those who call the group a "foreign proxy." The spokesperson for the BLA compared to the Pakistani forces to be a "mercenary armed gang" that depends on "Chinese capital" and stated that the military's aims are subject to change whenever its financiers do. He said it was an attack against what the BLA refers to as a "occupying army" and that it will go on with "greater intensity."

In Balochistan, where separatists have long fought for independence, the attacks on Pakistani military forces highlight the region's ongoing conflict.
