The evergreen film of Ranbir Kapoor and Konkana Sharma, Wake up Sid could be coming back with a sequel. Yes you heard that right; there are chances that the magical pair of Sid and Aisha would be coming back in some form to entertain, perhaps mesmerizing us again.
This news became the headline and the trending story on the social media apps after a video surfaced the internet which included Ranbir Kapoor along with Konkana Sharma. The supporting cast of Namit Das and Shikha Talsania were present in the video too, making it more obvious for the people to give fire to the speculations.
The film Wake up Sid received lots of love and admiration when it was first released as it was the perfect romcom and the story too was very much intriguing. The story was about a college student Siddharth, played by Ranbir Kapoor, who being a rich brat was very lazy and laid back. But then he started living alone with a friend in Aisha, played by Konkana Sharma, who was writer in Kolkata. The story revolves around how with time, Sid becomes responsible and hardworking as he falls in love for his friend Aisha.

The question seems unanswered as of now but the speculations are highly made that there are high possibility that this may happen. This all started with a video of Ranbir and Konkana getting viral which included them in their same costume as the film, with Ranbir sporting a blue shirt and white pants while Konkana Sen wearing a white Kurta and denim paired with a dupatta. This made it looked as if they were really shooting a scene for the part 2 film. The video also included id’s friends of the films thus adding fuel to the speculations. The video was released on 2nd January.
If the speculations are anywhere around truth then it will be really pleasing to see one of the favorite pairings to comeback on the big screen and for the director to play another perfect love story. The fans would truly love the sequel as well and it would do wonders for the newer generation to get to see more dramatic and simple movies in the day and age of massey and scifi films.
