Can India and Central Asia really end terrorism together? What’s the trade-off in return?

New Delhi (Delhi) [India], June 05:  The foreign ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan visited New Delhi for the 4th India-Central Asia Dialogue. Before the main meeting, India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met each of them. In every discussion, one topic stood out—fighting terrorism. Every minister clearly said that they want zero tolerance for terror and promised to work closely with India on this.

Clear Message Against Terrorism from All Sides

Jaishankar shared on social media how each nation showed strong support to stop terror acts. Kazakhstan’s minister said his country follows “zero tolerance”. Tajikistan agreed to push back any terrorist threats in the region. Kyrgyzstan's support was appreciated deeply by India. Turkmenistan’s minister clearly said all kinds of terrorism must be rejected together. These meetings showed unity in protecting peace.

Energy and Trade Also Take Centre Stage in Talks

Besides security, the leaders discussed trade, business, and energy needs. Kazakhstan and India want to grow their energy partnership. Kyrgyzstan’s minister spoke about education, health, and banking support too. They all agreed that better trade and development can bring stronger ties. With the right steps, India and Central Asia can become powerful trade partners in the years ahead.

Bringing the Region Closer Through Better Connections

One big aim of the talks was to build better roads, railways, and digital paths between India and Central Asia. This will help move goods faster and make travel easier. The countries want better internet links, smoother visa processes, and smart ways to grow tourism. These steps are small now, but they can build strong bridges between cultures and economies.

India Shows Quiet Strength Through Smart Diplomacy

This Dialogue may not be loud in the news, but it shows how India uses smart and respectful diplomacy. With history going back to ancient Silk Route trade, these Central Asian nations are not strangers to India. By working together on terrorism, business, education, and health, they’re writing a new story of peaceful and powerful cooperation in today’s world.
