CRPF Jawan Kills Live-In Partner After Fight in Kutch, Gujarat
In the Kutch district of Gujarat, a CRPF constable is accused of killing his live-in partner, a female police officer on Friday night.

New Delhi (India) July 20: According to authorities, a female Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) was allegedly killed. She was assigned to a police station in the Kutch area of Gujarat. She was murdered on Friday night by her boyfriend.
The case surfaced on Saturday morning when Dilip Dangchia surrendered himself.
The lady officer, Aruna Natubhai Jadav was stationed at the Anjar Police Station. It is the police station where the accused turned himself in.
Inspector Ajaysinh Gohil of the Anjar Police said, "We learned about the death of Aruna when Dilip confessed. We rushed to their residence and recovered her body. We informed the victim's family and sent the body for a postmortem. The accused is in custody. We are probing the sequence of events that led to the killing” in a statement.
Police discovered during the first investigation that Aruna lived in Gangotri Society-2 in Anjar. She was originally from Surendranagar.
Accused stayed with body
Aruna and Dilip Dagchia got into a furious fight at the woman's house late on Friday about something. Things became worse when Dilip lost his temper. He is said to have suffocated Aruna to death. The couple was sleeping at a rented home in Gangotri Society in Anjar when the murder took place. Around 11 p.m. on Friday, neighbours said to have heard the two arguing loudly. The accused stayed with the body till ten in the morning.
Superintendent of police (Kutch East) Sagar Bagmar said, "In the heat of an argument, Jadav throttled Aruna to death. After realizing what he had done, he attempted suicide by slashing his wrist with a knife and drinking phenyl. He vomited and survived” regarding the incident.
Dilip lives in a village close to Aruna's home. He is a CRPF jawan stationed in Manipur.
Couple Met on Instagram in 2021
According to a senior police officer, he first connected with Aruna on Instagram in 2021. They have been living together ever since.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Mukesh Chaudhary of the Anjar Division said, “Aruna and Dileep came in contact in 2021 through Instagram. They were in a live-in relationship” said in a statement.
Police files FIR
The police have opened an inquiry. They have filed a murder complaint under the appropriate Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections.
