DPAP Leader Ghulam Nabi Azad gets hospitalised in Kuwait due to extreme heat; BJP’s Baijayant Panda gives health update

New Delhi (India) May 28: During an all-party delegation visit to Kuwait on Tuesday, Ghulam Nabi Azad, the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and the chairman of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), was admitted to the hospital.

BJP MP Baijayant Panda confirmed this in a post on X, saying that his presence will be missed during the delegation's next visit.

He posted, "Halfway into our delegation's tour, Shri @ghulamnazad has had to be admitted to hospital. He is stable, under medical supervision, and will be undergoing some tests and procedures."

Ghulam Nabi Azad also shared his health update by posting, “Blessed to share that despite the extreme heat in Kuwait affecting my health, by God’s grace I’m doing fine and recovering well. All test results are normal. Thank you all for your concern and prayers — it truly means a lot!” on social media platform X.

The senior politician, who was selected to join the multi-party delegations aimed at supporting allies worldwide, attacked Pakistan for spreading false information that raised tensions with India.

He said,“Pakistan spreads a lot of disinformation. It is their habit. So, in the meetings that were held today a lot of questions and answers took place. I think the disinformation which they used to hear have all been done away with. So, it was a really good program.”

“We told them about our country, how lives everyone together with love, Hindus-Muslims-Sikhs-Christians. political parties debate in Parliament but when it is a question of the country, we stand united inside and outside the country.”

Baijayant Panda led a team to Kuwait on behalf of the Indian government in order to defend India's position in the conflict between the two nations and warn allies around the world to Pakistan's connection to terrorist operations.

The delegation met with a number of Indian community members, government representatives and political leaders throughout the tour.

After detailing India's anti-terrorism position in Kuwait, the group led by Baijayant Panda arrived in Saudi Arabia.

Baijayant Panda is leading an all-party group that includes former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, veteran diplomat Harsh Shringla, BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, Satnam Singh Sandhu, and AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi.
