29th June 2023,Mumbai: Fans of the movie Gadar still remember the love song Udd Jaa Kale Kaava from Anil Sharma’s cross-border romance from 2001. The lead characters, Pakistani Sakeena Singh (Ameesha Patel) and India’s Tara Singh (Sunny Deol), were developing a romance in the song.
The well-known song has been remade for the long-awaited Gadar 2 sequel, which hits theatres on August 11. Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik, the original singers, perform the new song. The late Anand Bakshi’s original lyrics have been kept In tact. Mithoon has reworked the music, which was originally written by Uttam Singh of Dil To Pagal Hai fame. But aside from a few embellishments, the core and melody of the first song remains intact.
The leads of the first film, Sunny and Ameesha, recollect and recreate their passion from more than twenty years ago in the video for Udd Jaa Kale Kaava from Gadar 2. The duster is also seen being utilised by the two as a prop, much like it was in the original video for the 2001 movie. Their new house in a hill station is where the new song is situated. At the conclusion of the song, Ameesha’s Sakina, who has purple eyes, can be seen breaking into a bhangra against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains. Sunny’s Tara unwillingly follows her since she insisted.
The original romantic-action drama film, which Anil Sharma directed, took place during India’s Partition. When it was released in 2001, it made box office history. The late Amrish Puri had a crucial part in the movie. The story is on Sakina, a Muslim girl from a political family in Lahore, Pakistan, who falls in love with Tara Singh, a Sikh truck driver from Amritsar.
Gadar was re-released prior to the teaser trailer for the sequel. Gadar 2, directed by Anil Sharma, also has Utkarsh Sharma in the key parts. In the first part, Utkarsh portrayed Sunny and Ameesha’s son.
