6th October 2023, Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster action drama, “Jawan,” continues to make waves at the box office as it enters its 29th day in theaters. The film has achieved a remarkable feat, crossing the Rs 1100 crore mark globally and securing a prominent spot in the worldwide box office rankings. While its daily earnings have declined, the film’s overall performance remains impressive.
Jawan Box Office Collections
On its 29th day in theaters, “Jawan” garnered Rs 1.85 crore across all languages in India, marking its lowest single-day collection to date. However, the film’s cumulative collection in India now stands at a remarkable Rs 617 crore. “Jawan” made an impressive opening of Rs 75 crore when it was released in September, reaching its peak on the first Sunday with a staggering Rs 80 crore in earnings. This record-breaking performance established “Jawan” as the Bollywood movie with the highest opening and single-day collection. It also became the fastest Hindi film to achieve significant box office milestones and the first Bollywood movie to surpass the Rs 600 crore mark in the domestic market.
Jawan Breaks Records of other Bollywood Blockbusters
Globally, “Jawan” has achieved outstanding success, grossing a total of Rs 1103 crore. It currently ranks just behind other blockbuster films such as “KGF: Chapter 2” (Rs 1215 crore), “RRR” (Rs 1230 crore), “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” (Rs 1780 crore), and “Dangal” (Rs 2400 crore). “Jawan” was strategically designed as Shah Rukh Khan’s first pan-India movie, directed by Atlee and featuring a star-studded cast including Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. The film also includes special appearances by Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt. The film concluded with a teaser for a potential sequel, and Atlee has hinted at the possibility of a follow-up project.

Alongside “Pathaan” and “Gadar 2,” “Jawan” has played a pivotal role in revitalizing the Hindi film industry after two uncertain years. It has demonstrated the enduring appeal of Bollywood and has resonated strongly with audiences, setting new benchmarks for success. In addition to “Jawan,” other Hindi films that have performed well this year include “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar,” “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke,” “Satyaprem Ki Katha,” “OMG 2,” and “The Kerala Story.”
