French Montana Gets Engaged to Dubai Princess Sheikha Mahra After Paris Fashion Week Proposal
French Montana, a Moroccan-American rapper, is engaged to Sheikha Mahra Mohammed Rashed Al Maktoum, a princess of Dubai.

New Delhi (India) August 28: The Moroccan-American rapper French Montana is engaged to Dubai princess Sheikha Mahra Mohammed Rashed Al Maktoum. She is the daughter of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He is the ruler of Dubai. She made the announcement one year after divorcing her first husband in a public Instagram post.
The proposal happened during Paris Fashion Week in June. This is when the 40-year-old rapper debuted on the runway for 3.Paradis' Ready-to-Wear Spring/Summer 2026 collection.
The engagement is reportedly supported by both families. The wedding date has not yet been set.
Past Marriage and Divorce
In July 2024, 31-year-old Sheikha Mahra declared her separation from Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum.
She wrote: “Dear Husband. As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, I divorce you,” in a now deleted post.
In May 2023, Shaikha Mahra married Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum. He is an industrialist. The two welcomed a daughter a year later. Her father is Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He is the current ruler of Dubai. He is also the prime minister and vice president of the United Arab Emirates.
Princess Balancing Business, and Empowerment
The Dubai princess used her brand Mahra M1 to launch a perfume line called "Divorce" after the split. She received training at the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Administration. She also received an education in international relations in the UK. She still manages to maintain a balance between her business and public attention.
Shaikha Mahra is well-known for her support of regional UAE designers. She also advocates for women's empowerment.
The ruler of Dubai has 26 children, including Sheikha Mahra. Her mother, Zoe Grigorakos. She is from Greece. So Mahra has both Greek and Emirati ancestry. But the ruler of Dubai is separated from the Greek woman.

In October 2024, French Montana was initially connected to the Princess. He is best known for the hit songs "Unforgettable" and "No Stylist”. They have since been seen dining in Dubai and Morocco. They are also seen riding camels in the desert, and at the Pont des Arts in Paris. They made news earlier this year when they were spotted holding hands at Paris Fashion Week.
