IPL 2025:Mullanpur Stadium to host the playoffs; Final in Ahmedabad
According to reports, Ahmedabad is expected to host the IPL 2025 final and Mullanpur Cricket Stadium will host the first two playoff games.

New Delhi (India) May 21: The Indian Premier League (IPL) confirmed that the first two playoff games of the 2025 season will be held at the Mullanpur Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh, Punjab.
The final four matches were originally planned to be played in Hyderabad and Kolkata before the tournament's one-week postponement. The IPL Governing Council chose the new playoff locations based on a number of things like the weather.
The Punjab Cricket Association is speeding up game preparations and confirmed the development.
Due to the rising tensions between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack, the IPL 2025 season was suspended for one week before starting again on May 17. The BCCI released an updated schedule after the declaration of a ceasefire by both countries.
The BCCI mentioned the possibility of venue changes for the playoff matches when it announced the Indian Premier League's return after the break. Due to practical limitations, the entire tournament’s locations have to be changed and now it is being held in six cities rather than ten.
According to the IPL press release, the new locations were chosen with Kolkata's weather in mind. This decision was made since rain is expected on June 3rd, according to the weather prediction.
As the fans prepare for the last leg of the IPL, the Mullanpur Stadium in New Chandigarh will now host the Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator, while Ahmedabad will host the Qualifier 2.
The only two teams fighting for the semi final position are the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians, while the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans have already secured their places in the tournament's playoffs.
The SunRisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, CSK, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Lucknow Super Giants have all been already knocked out of the playoff competition.
