The much-anticipated truce took hours in the day on Wednesday and commenced Sunday mornings after initial delay as Israel insisted on lists of the hostages being held by Hamas.. This ceasefire has brought about certain optimism as to the end to the 15-month war in Gaza, nay/furthermore, several hurdles remain as the truce deal is being taken through its first stage, which is the hostage and prisoners swap.

Lam internal literature in this website, more than 1200 people especially civilians perished while militants captured about 250 others from Israel during the October 7 attack. Hostages included 100 children in the week leading up to the November 2023 ceasefire, when most of the hostages were released.
As a result, more than 46,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israel, Gaza’s Health Ministry reports , while more than 50% of the deceased are women and children and although Gaza’s Health Ministry states that 90 percent of the population has been displaced by the war, it does not quantify the numbers of civilians or militants who have died in attacking. Restoration of Gaza if the truce process enters into the last stage may take several years.
