New Delhi (India) October 2: Sarsanghachalak Mohan Bhagwat gives a comprehensive speech at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's (RSS) centennial Vijayadashami celebrations in Nagpur. The speech includes topics such as international economics, national unity, cultural diversity, and security issues.

RSS Centennial Celebration and Shastra Puja

The event celebrated the organization's 100th anniversary. It was attended by leaders including former President Ram Nath Kovind, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Bhagwat performed "Shastra Puja" during the organization's Vijayadashmi Utsav. During Shastra Puja, the RSS headquarters' Reshimbagh ground featured traditional weaponry and modern weapon replicas. It includes the Pinaka MK-1, Pinaka Enhance, and Pinaka.

The RSS Head says, “The world functions on interdependence. No nation can live in isolation. This interdependence should not be turned into compulsion. We must move towards swadeshi and self-reliance; there is no alternative. Our harmony must be our own."

Unity, Culture, and Warning Against Division

Bhagwat emphasized the unique cultural variety of India. He pointed out that foreign beliefs have always been adopted with understanding. He did, however, issue a warning that forces of division inside the nation were trying to turn this diversity into conflict.

Mohan urged people to maintain peace and refrain from insulting religious beliefs. They should also oppose acts of violence, rioting, or provocations intended to promote conflict within the community.

US Tariff Policies Trigger Call for Swadeshi

Bhagwat criticized the United States' tariff policy. He claimed that it was intended to further its own interests but had unexpected consequences worldwide. He emphasized that countries cannot exist in complete isolation.

Mohan Bhagwat cautions that interdependence between nations should not turn into pressure. He called on Indians to become more self-sufficient and swadeshi. They should also continue to have friendly and mutual diplomatic relations with other countries. He also said that the world was now looking at India to offer answers to its problems.

Bhagwat said, "The new tariff policy implemented by the US was done keeping in mind the interest of their own. But everyone is affected by them. The world functions with dependence on each other; this is how relations between any two nations are maintained. No country can survive in isolation. This dependence must not turn into compulsion. We need to rely on swadeshi and focus on self-reliance... Yet strive to maintain diplomatic relations with all our friendly nations, which will be with our wish and without compulsion."

Tribute to National Leaders and Security Concerns

Mohan Bhagwat praised former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri and Mahatma Gandhi on their birth anniversaries. He called them models of commitment, kindness, and national duty. He cites Shastri's life of selflessness, modesty, and integrity. He also emphasized Gandhi's ideal of an independent India.

Bhagwat also made reference to the recent Pahalgam attack. The attack killed 26 civilians after being questioned about their faith. He criticized cross-border terrorism. He called it an example of national unity. Bhagwat commended the government's quick reply and the bravery of the military forces.
