3 July 2023, Mumbai: In a recent series of tweets, Bollywood actor Ameesha Patel has accused Anil Sharma Productions, the production company behind the upcoming film Gadar 2, of mismanagement during the shooting in Chandigarh. Ameesha claimed that several crew members, including makeup artists and costume designers, did not receive their rightful remuneration and dues from the production company.
Highlighting the issues faced by the cast and crew, Ameesha stated that accommodation, transportation, and food bills were left unpaid. Furthermore, she revealed that certain individuals were left stranded as cars were not provided to them. However, Ameesha also commended the intervention of Zee Studios, the co-production company, for stepping in and resolving the financial discrepancies.
Ameesha wrote, “Another concern of fans has been about certain incidents regarding Anil Sharma Productions to have taken place in regards to the final schedule of Gadar 2 that took place end May in Chandigarh!! There were certain queries that many technicians like makeup artists, costume designers and others etc. did not receive their rightful remuneration and dues from Anil Sharma Productions!! Yes, they did not!! But @ZeeStudios_ stepped in and made sure all dues were settled as they are a very professional company”
Furthermore, she added, “Yes, from accommodation, to transport to Chandigarh airport on the final day to food bills were left unpaid and cars were not provided to certain cast and crew members leaving them stranded! But yet again @zeestudios stepped in and corrected these issues caused by Anil Sharma Productions”
Ameesha expressed her gratitude towards Zee Studios for consistently resolving the problems caused by Anil Sharma Productions. She specifically mentioned Shariq Patel, Neeraj Joshi, Kabeer Ghosh, and Nischit as individuals from the Zee team who played a pivotal role in rectifying the situation.
Gadar 2, directed by Anil Sharma, features Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma in lead roles. The film is slated for release on August 11, and it serves as a sequel to the immensely popular movie Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The production companies involved in Gadar 2 are Zee Studios and Anil Sharma Productions.
As of now, there has been no official response from Anil Sharma Productions regarding Ameesha Patel’s accusations.
