On January 22, 2024, actors Arun Govil, Dipika Chikhlia, and Sunil Lahri—who are most known for portraying the original Lord Ram, Sita, and Laxman in Ramanand Sagar’s renowned television series Ramayan—will be present for the Ram temple’s Pran Pratishtha event. The group arrived in the holy city ahead of the major celebration to film a music video for the album Humare Ram Aayenge. A recent social media video with the three actors strolling around the streets went viral. While Arun and Sunil opted for a more understated look in a classic yellow kurta, Dipika is spotted wearing a stunning and sophisticated red saree.
Netizens are also quite excited to see the celebs at the grand inauguration. A user wrote, “Wow this is like having Ram ji, Sita ji and Lakshman ji at the Ram Mandir.. can’t wait.” Another user wrote, “it is going to be one of the most beautiful and celebrated days.. happy to see Dipika, Arun and Sunil there.” One more user said, “now this is what I call iconic.”

Dipika opened up about her journey in Ramayan. She said, “Ramayan is almost ancient now. Ram, Sita Ji and Ramayan are something that I’m still identified with it. This started as a television serial. I was working with the Sagars on Dada Dadi. And then post that I got to work with Vikram Betal with Prem Sagar. And I was known as the most beautiful princess on television. That’s how I got recognized with both of those serials.”
Conversely, Sunil Lahri responded when he was eventually invited to the Ram Mandir opening ceremony. He said, “I am really thankful to God and the people and my fans too wished me that I should get the invitation. With the blessings of Lord Rama their prayer has been answered.”
Speaking about if there is only Lord Ram’s idol in the temple, Dipika said,”It has been covered that only Ram Lalla will be in the temple. And then of course, once I spoke about it I requested the PM that you should have Sita Ji also there because Ramji cannot be alone. And then much later it came out in the news only which also I got to know about. He’s having Ram, Lakshman, and Sita, separately somewhere properly. She was also asked about how she manages a television job to which she said,” I have no idea. Yesterday I took a flight to Delhi. Delhi to Hisar which is 4 hours from Delhi. I did a 1-hour event, drove back 4 hours, came back at 1:30 in the night, woke up and I’m here at 02:00. I have no idea how I do it. But yes, I’m blessed.”
