PM Modi Honours Success of Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj In Lok Sabha Speech

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India] March 18: "PM Modi Highlights Global Involvement and Unity at Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj". PM Narendra Modi said, "I salute to crores of people across the country who helped make Mahakumbh in Prayagraj a success." He also said that the event showed the pride of India growing.
 After talking about how he took Gangajal to Mauritius, Modi said, "This joy wasn't limited to just one place."  And I was in Mauritius...  I took sacred water from Maha Kumbh with me.  When this holy water was given at Mauritius' Ganga Talab, there was a powerful sense of prayer and celebration.

Modi went on to say, "This shows how strong the need is to respect our traditions, culture, and values today."  It is the spirit of unity that has come out of Maha Kumbh in many ways.  At Maha Kumbh, people from all over the land came together as one.

The prime minister, who himself took a Holi dip in the Sangam, said that people in Prayagraj put aside their egos and came together with the concept of "not me, but we."  "They became part of the pure Triveni."  Modi said, "There was no disparity between big and small."

The power of our unity is so strong that it beats every attempt to split us up.  The fact that Indians have come together is a great thing.  He told the Lok Sabha, "At a time when the country divides this show of unity is our greatest weapon."
