Now, he stands as the key accused in a major religious conversion racket. The UP Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) believes his influence grew through foreign funding and deep-rooted connections. His arrest has shocked many, but the deeper layers are just starting to unfold.

Police Get Seven Days to Question the Accused Chhangur Baba

The UP ATS has received a seven-day police custody remand for Chhangur Baba and his close associate Nasreen, also known as Neetu Naveen Rohra. They were earlier lodged in Lucknow jail since Saturday. This remand allows police to directly question them till July 16. Officers say this time is crucial to extract real information about the inner working of the conversion racket operating across states.

Two Lists of Questions for Chhangur Baba & Neetu 

ATS officers have carefully prepared separate question lists for both accused. One is meant for individual questioning, and the other will be used when they are brought face to face. This method, officials say, helps in catching mismatches in their answers. The focus will be on learning how conversions were planned, who financed them, and what methods were used to convince people to change religion.

The officers are trying to understand if the racket has international links. There are concerns about foreign money being used to fund these activities. Nasreen will be asked how she entered the racket and what role she played. Officers suspect that influence, relationships, and even cash rewards may have played a role in these conversions.
