Sandhya Theatre Stampede: Pushpa 2 Star Allu Arjun To Appear Before Police Today Following Summons
Hyderabad police summoned 'Pushpa 2' actor Allu Arjun to appear for questioning in connection with the Sandhya theater stampede incident on Tuesday. The stampede took place during the screening of 'Pushpa 2' on December 4 which claimed the life of a 35-year-old woman and led to serious injuries to her eight-year-old son. Chikkadpally Police Inspector Raju Naik confirmed that the actor has been asked to appear at 11 AM. The Hyderabad police, investigating the case, have charged Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) following a complaint from the deceased’s family, as per a report on PTI. On Monday, the case took a significant turn when Police Commissioner CV Anand released video footage outlining the sequence of events leading to the stampede. Subsequently, Allu Arjun, named as Accused No. 11, was arrested on December 13 in connection with the incident. However, Telangana High Court granted him interim bail for four weeks and he was released from custody on December 14. The actor who has expressed willingness to cooperate with the investigation is expected to provide clarity on his role and the circumstances surrounding the tragedy during his appearance before the authorities.
