4 June 2023, Mumbai: Yesterday, Brad Pitt submitted new court documents against his ex-wife Angelina Jolie. He said that Angelina was “vindictive” since the custody decision did not go her way, therefore she refused to sell him her half of their French property, Chateau Miraval. Without his consent, she sold her share to Russian millionaire Yuri Shefler. A close source for the actress, however, said that she cancelled the arrangement because Pitt had attempted to quiet her regarding child abuse.
Brad Pitt allegedly made an effort to suppress Angelina Jolie when she spoke out against child abuse. Page Six claims that the actress cancelled the agreement not out of retaliation but rather because Pitt sought to silence her when she brought up his maltreatment of their children. According to the source, Pitt was charged with punching and choking one of their children during a notorious cross-country private flight in 2016. In addition to doing this, he also poured beer on Jolie.
According to one of Jolie’s friends, Pitt wouldn’t finish the Miraval deal with Jolie unless she agreed to keep quiet about the abuse. “He demanded that $8.5 million be held back [from his payment to her for the winery] to force her to keep quiet,” the buddy continued.
An Insider said, however, that no matter what legal proceedings Brad Pitt takes, he will never be able to get away from the reality that he physically and verbally assaulted Angelina Jolie and their children. The ex-couple reportedly promised not to sell their shares in the $30 million Provence winery they purchased in 2008 without the other’s consent, according to the legal paperwork submitted on Thursday. The updated documents claimed that Jolie had changed her mind about selling to Pitt following the unfavourable custody decision, which gave him shared custody of their six children. However, the choice was later reversed.
2014 saw the marriage of the couple. Following that, the actors’ divorced in 2016. As a result, their 12-year union came to an end. Their 17-year-old daughter Shiloh Nouvel was born to them in 2006. Their son Pax Thien was adopted by Angelina and Brad from Vietnam. Following that, they welcomed their 14-year-old twins Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline in 2008. Jolie, however, did not have children of her own until she adopted Maddox Chivan, now 21 years old, from Cambodia in 2002. Three years later, Zahara Marley, an Ethiopian-born 18-year-old, joined the family.
