US President Donald Trump threatens secondary sanctions on countries buying Iran’s oil

According to latest reports US President Donald Trump said that the nations who will purchase petrochemicals or oil from Iran will not be permitted to conduct business with the US.

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump declared that nations that buy oil or petrochemical goods from Iran will face additional penalties and will be prohibited from conducting commerce with the United States.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said, "All purchases of Iranian Oil, or Petrochemical products, must stop, NOW! Any Country or person who buys ANY AMOUNT of OIL or PETROCHEMICALS from Iran will be subject to, immediately, Secondary Sanctions. They will not be allowed to do business with the United States of America in any way, shape, or form. Thank you for your attention to this matter, PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP.”

There are also delays in the US-Iranian nuclear pact negotiations

Allegedly for "logistical reasons”,negotiations between the US and Iran on a nuclear agreement have stopped.

The government of Oman, which is mediating the negotiations, said that once the two nations had decided on a date, a new round of discussions will start.

Although there is still a lot of work to be done, Washington and Tehran indicated last week that the discussions have been made forward.

If the United States refrains from making "unrealistic and impossible demands," Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed cautiously that a deal may be struck.

Iran has maintained that its nuclear program is not harmful but Donald Trump has declared that he will not permit it to continue its existing nuclear program and produce weapons.

Although Tehran has claimed that they still have the right to enrich uranium under their program, the United States has put a number of sanctions on Iran in an effort to persuade the nation to reconsider its position.

The United States is also still waging "Operation Rough Rider" against the Houthi rebels in Yemen who are supported by Iran. The US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a stern warning to Iran: "Message to IRAN: We see your LETHAL support to The Houthis. We know exactly what you are doing," he wrote. "You know very well what the US Military is capable of - and you were warned. You will pay the CONSEQUENCE at the time and place of our choosing.”
