Seeing him again now, but as champions of the world, she said made the moment extra sweet — and that they hoped to see more of him in the future.

Pratika Rawal Honoured Among Champions

Pratika Rawal, one of India’s top performers in the ongoing ODI World Cup, was instrumental with her batting. Rawal, however, was ruled out of the knockout stage after she picked an ankle injury in India’s last group encounter against Bangladesh and Shafali Verma coming in as her replacement.

After India clinched the title, reports suggested that Rawal did not get a World Cup-winning medal as she was ruled out before the final. Rawal was obviously basking in the glory with her World Cup medal when she and the team greeted the Prime Minister. The gesture shows that the all-rounder was honoured among the title-winning bunch.
