Delhi Schools Face Fifth Bomb Threat in Nine Days
After the fifth bomb threat against schools in Delhi in nine days, police are looking into the matter more deeply.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India] December 17 : Delhi schools are very alert after a string of bomb scares. That's the fifth time in just over a week. On Tuesday, dangerous emails were sent to several schools, including Crescent Public School in Saraswati Vihar. As a result, the schools had to lock down and do full security checks.
Escalating Threats Disrupt Education
Delhi is not a good place to study right now because of all the bomb worries. There were threats like these sent to 20 schools on Monday. Delhi Public School (DPS) RK Puram was one of them. There were emails sent to eight schools on December 14 threatening blasts with "bomb vests." One of those schools was DPS RK Puram. Many people have had to leave the school because of these events, which makes students, parents, and teachers nervous.
The police are looking into it more
Due to these threats, the Delhi Police, along with bomb squads and the fire department, have carefully checked the school grounds. Bombs have not yet been deployed, and it is probable that the threats are unfounded. The individuals who sent these emails are presently being investigated by law enforcement in order to identify and apprehend those who are inciting terror.
How Indian hoax threats got around the country
This increase in threats in Delhi is indicative of a broader trend that may be observed throughout India. This year (2024), there has been a significant increase in the number of fabricated explosive threats directed at schools, airlines, and other locations. A explosives threat was issued to more than 40 schools in Delhi on December 9, with a prize of $30,000 offered.
This demanded the children's departure, and the authorities initiated an inquiry. In the same vein, other regions have experienced threats that have proved to be baseless, despite the fact that they increased the difficulty of life.
Important information for both parents and children
Students and their families are anxious and uncertain about their next steps as a result of the threats. The quality of education is failing, which results in a decrease in the ability of children to concentrate and perform well. Parents are concerned about the welfare of their children. Schools struggle to strike a balance between the necessity for caution and the desire to maintain the status quo.
