28 May 2023, Mumbai: Jogira Sara Ra Ra, featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Neha Sharma in lead roles, has finally managed to touch the Rs 1 crore mark at the box office on its second day of release. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, known as one of the most reliable actors in the industry, had previously faced disappointment with his film Afwaah, which failed to make an impact. However, his latest venture, Jogira Sara Ra Ra, seems to be struggling to find its footing.
Hit or Flop?
Paired opposite Neha Sharma, the film hit theaters on May 26. Despite a slow start on its opening day, early reports indicate that the film failed to create the desired magic on its second day as well. On day 1, Jogira Sara Ra Ra managed to collect Rs 0.50 crore, which is relatively low compared to Nawazuddin’s previous releases. However, on day 2, the film is expected to finally reach the Rs 1 crore milestone. According to a report, the film is projected to earn around Rs 0.60 crore, bringing the total collection to an estimated Rs 1.1 crore. The official figures are yet to be confirmed.
Although the film witnessed a slight improvement in overall occupancy, with an increase from 10.31% to 12.44% in the Hindi belt, it received mixed reviews from critics. Jogira Sara Ra Ra, directed by Kushan Nandy, is a family comedy produced by Naeem A Siddiqui of Touchwood Multimedia Creations, with Kiran Shyam Shroff serving as the creative producer. Kushan and Nawazuddin had previously collaborated on the film Babumoshai Bandookbaaz (2020).
As the box office journey of Jogira Sara Ra Ra continues, fans and industry watchers eagerly await further updates on its performance in the coming days.
