FIR Filed Against BJP MLA Munirathna Over Shocking Assault Allegations
The woman, a 40-year-old BJP worker, says her worst nightmare happened on June 11, 2023. She was taken inside MLA Munirathna’s Mathikere office, not for any party meeting, but something terrible.

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], May 21: The woman, a 40-year-old BJP worker, says her worst nightmare happened on June 11, 2023. She was taken inside MLA Munirathna’s Mathikere office, not for any party meeting, but something terrible. The woman was not alone—four men were there. She said they forced her to remove her clothes and warned her that if she didn’t listen, her son would be harmed. Such incidents break a person's trust not only in people but also in power.
A Horrific Act Beyond Imagination
According to the FIR, things turned more brutal. She said two of Munirathna’s associates forced themselves on her while the MLA stood by. He even urinated on her face during the assault. This isn’t just an act of cruelty—it shows how dangerous misuse of power can become. The woman said she couldn’t understand why this happened. But worse still, she was injected with an unknown substance using a syringe.
A Silent Suffering Hidden For Months
After the incident, the woman remained quiet for a long time. She said she was scared. The MLA had warned her to keep her mouth shut or her family would suffer. In January 2024, she was told by doctors that she had a serious disease. Now she believes the injected substance might have caused it. This fear and pain were so deep that on May 19, 2025, she took pills due to mental stress and had to be rushed to the hospital.
History Of Harassment And Deceit
The woman also said that before this assault, Munirathna had already caused her trouble. She was arrested in fake cases. Later, some men came and told her that the MLA wanted to help. Thinking it was for good, she returned to his office. What followed was abuse, not help. Such misuse of political power has happened before in India, and every time, it shakes people's belief in justice and leadership.
The Law Takes A Step Forward
The RMC Yard police registered the FIR with serious charges: gang-rape, injecting harmful virus, criminal threat, and outraging a woman’s modesty. These fall under Indian Penal Code sections like 376D, 270, 323, and more. Now, people are asking whether justice will be done. Cases like these remind us that nobody, no matter how powerful, should be above the law. The people of Karnataka, and across India, are watching closely—waiting for truth to win.
