India Rejects Trump’s Kashmir Mediation, Stands Firm on Trade
The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal clarified that there were talks between both countries, but trade was never a topic.

New Delhi (Delhi) [India], May 13: India gave a clear reply to US President Donald Trump’s offer to mediate on the Kashmir issue. The government reminded the world that matters related to Jammu and Kashmir are to be solved only between India and Pakistan, without any third-party help. This stand has remained the same for many years. India strongly believes that outside countries should not try to come in the middle of sensitive matters between two neighbours.
Strong Pushback on Trade Claims
Trump also claimed he used trade talks to stop a nuclear war between India and Pakistan. India, however, firmly stated that no such thing happened. The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal clarified that there were talks between both countries, but trade was never a topic. India clearly said that all actions during the recent crisis were regular military responses, not linked to nuclear matters or any trade discussions.
Operation Sindoor: India’s Swift Action
On May 7, India launched a military operation named “Sindoor” after a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam. This operation targeted terrorist camps in areas controlled by Pakistan. The strikes went on for four days. Drones, missiles, and long-range weapons were used. This strong reply showed India’s growing zero-tolerance towards terrorism. The strikes were in self-defence, showing India’s will to protect its people and borders at any cost.
History Repeats: India’s Policy of Peace with Power
India’s stand on Jammu and Kashmir has always been clear. From the time of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, India has said that only India and Pakistan can discuss Kashmir. India has faced many wars and attacks since 1947, yet has never asked for foreign help. After the Kargil War in 1999 and the Pulwama attack in 2019, India acted with firmness and clarity. Today’s situation is no different — peace is important, but not at the cost of security.
A Strong Message to the World and Pakistan
India also warned other countries not to support false stories about nuclear war. It reminded them that backing such rumours can harm peace in their own regions too. The Pakistani side was quick to change its tune once the Indian forces gave a tough response. India said clearly that it will not accept any form of nuclear threat or blackmail. This message came with action, not just words — making India’s stand stronger than ever before.
