Kashish Chaudhary is Balochistan’s first Hindu woman Assistant Commissioner

New Delhi (India) May 14: As the first female member of the Pakistani Hindu minority in Balochistan to be appointed as the Assistant Commissioner of the politically unstable province, Kashish Chaudhary is just 25 years old.

A personal achievement and an example of hope for the country's minority populations, she passed the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) exam.

Chaudhary claimed that her victory was the result of three years of hard work, with at least eight hours each day dedicated to preparation. "Discipline, hard work, and the desire to contribute to society have driven me throughout this journey," she said.

Girdhari Lal, her father told the reporters that “It is a matter of great pride for me that my daughter has become an assistant commissioner due to her hard work and commitment.”

According to Lal, a mid-level merchant his daughter has always wanted to learn and improve the lives of women.

Sarfaraz Bugti, the chief minister of Balochistan, met Chaudhary and her father in Quetta on Monday. She informed the CM that, in along with considering the province's overall growth, she would work for the empowerment of minorities and women.

CM Bugti said when people of the minority community achieve important positions as a result of their hard work and dedication, it is a source of pride for the country. "Kashish is a symbol of pride for the nation and Balochistan," he stated.

Hindu women from Pakistan have recently become stronger in fields that were previously controlled by men, breaking social, cultural, and religious barriers to obtain key positions.

Manesh Ropeta was appointed as Karachi's first Hindu woman superintendent of police in July 2022. Hyderabad civil judge Suman Pawan Bodani and police sub-inspector Pushpa Kumari Kohli have both earned significant successes in public service.
