PM Modi Warns Pakistan: 'They Won’t Sleep Peacefully Fearing Our Drones, Missiles'

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India] May 13: Following the successful "Operation Sindoor," which was initiated in revenge for the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people on April 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in a national address a strategic change in India's counterterrorism policy.  With a focus on quick revenge, zero tolerance for nuclear blackmail, and no differentiation between terrorists and their backers, PM defined the operation as a new policy.  After the Indian Armed Forces destroyed the terror infrastructure in Pakistan, he praised them and said Pakistan was left "begging for peace."

Since no drone activity was observed, army officials assured that the issue was under control.  But earlier Monday, the day of PM Modi's speech, suspected Pakistani drones were spotted and shot down close to the border in the Samba area of Jammu.

The Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan held meetings and stated their commitment to the ceasefire in spite of the stressful situation.  Both parties decided to refrain from using force and to think about reducing their numbers.

US President Donald Trump, however, claimed that his government was helpful in avoiding a nuclear exchange and took responsibility for mediating the ceasefire.  He commended both nations' leaders for showing calm and intelligence throughout the situation.

Also, Prime Minister Modi cautioned that Operation Sindoor marks a new normal in India's anti-terror operations, hinting that such forceful measures will continue against any future threats from Pakistan, even if peace reigns in border regions.
