The Indian cricket legend rang the ceremonial five-minute bell to signal the start of play in the third Test between India and England. This tradition, reserved for cricketing greats and dignitaries, was a first for Tendulkar making the moment even more significant.

Tendulkar’s bell-ringing came ahead of Day 1 of the third Test in a series now named after him and James Anderson the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
