Virat Kohli Discovers Way to Get Special Meals Despite BCCI’s ‘No Personal Chef’ Policy
ICC Champions Trophy is going to start from 19 February 2025.

Dubai 17 February: The BCCI has introduced strict new rules to improve discipline and commitment among Indian cricketers. After India’s disappointing tour of Australia, the board issued a 10-point directive limiting certain activities.
One of the new rules prevents players from bringing personal chefs, stylists, or staff on overseas tours. However, Virat Kohli found a smart way to get his favourite food.
According to a Times of India report, Kohli was seen talking to the team’s local manager about 15 minutes before the team bus arrived after a tough three-hour practice session.
When the manager returned, he handed Kohli a paper bag containing food from a popular restaurant. The report mentioned that Kohli ate his post-session meal while packing up and even saved some food for later. The BCCI’s 10-point directive aims to bring discipline after India’s poor performance in Australia. One rule states that players can’t bring personal staff like chefs or assistants unless the board specifically approves it.
Indian Team has finally announced it’s squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy. Apart from this they also announced the 15 member squad for the upcoming One Day Internationals against England. The Indian Captain Rohit Sharma along with Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar announced the squad during a press conference in Mumbai on 18 January.
All the Teams who are part of ICC Champions Trophy were given the time to announce their squads by 12 January which was the deadline by International Cricket Council (ICC). However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) requested an extension as they needed a fitness update over some of their recovering players. Jasprit Bumrah was added in the squad but he is not fully recovered so Harshit Rana replaced him in the squad.
