AAP Councillor Criticizes Delhi’s Unfulfilled Allowance Promise

(Delhi) December 25 : Ravinder Solanki, a member for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has spoken out against the Delhi government's "Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojana," which wants to give women more money by doubling it from ₹1,000 to ₹2,100. Solanki says the government should have kept its original promise to give a ₹1,000 allowance before announcing a bigger plan.

Unfulfilled Promises Hurt People Trust

"A lot of women come to the office asking about the ₹1,000 allowance," Solanki said, showing doubts about the government's honesty. There has been no ₹1,000 allowance yet, and now people are waiting in line for the ₹2,100 allowance that is being planned. He stressed that not keeping promises has made people not believe politicians.

Official Details on the Status of the Scheme

The Women and Child Development (WCD) department of Delhi said in a statement that there is no such scheme that has been officially announced. The department warned that anyone or any political party gathering forms or information under the mask of this fake scheme is committing fraud.

Opposition Criticizes Government's Approach

Kamaljeet Sehrawat, a BJP MP, said that the way the Delhi government handles welfare programs is not good. He said that the fact that forms are being collected without any financial support shows that the government is not taking things seriously. "It is clear that the Delhi government has made a joke out of the whole system," Sehrawat said. There have been no plans put in place by them in the last 10 years.

Public Frustration and Demand for Accountability

The public is angry about the situation, and many women are upset that the promises have not been kept. People want the government to be more open and responsible so that they can rebuild trust and make sure that support programs are carried out properly.

Government's Response and Future Actions

We have yet to hear back from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal or any other top AAP leaders about Solanki's comments or the current state of the "Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojana." We still don't know what the government will do next to address these issues.
