Chandan Mishra killed in hospital
The six-member group that carried out the murder had done thorough preparation and was well-versed in the layout of the hospital.
Officials claim that there were six attackers. They all rode two motorcycles to Paras Hospital to carry out the murder. With one accomplice waiting outside, the other five armed people entered the hospital.
Shooter knew hospital very well
The shooting was allegedly carried out by Tauseef Badshah. He is a known criminal with a record of prior jail time. According to reports, Badshah visited Paras Hospital often when a close friend was receiving long-term care there. He was apparently familiar with every inch of the hospital.
Security guards first stopped the gunmen at the hospital's emergency gate. They were demanded gate passes before they could proceed with the attack. But there were no passes among the five men.
After that, they entered the OPD secretly. They proceeded straight to Room 209, where Chandan Mishra was admitted.
According to officials, the attackers knew exactly where Mishra was. They also knew how the hospital was set up earlier.
According to sources, the gunmen found it simpler to enter Room 209 because the lock was already broken and could not be locked from within.
According to officials, the entire process was well organized. The shooters were seen leaving the hospital and celebrating outside. They are seen riding off on their motorcycles at around 7.15 am, according to CCTV footage.
Central Range (Patna) Inspector General Jitendra Rana said, "A criminal named Chandan Mishra was admitted to Paras Hospital for treatment and was shot by members of a rival gang. It cannot be ruled out that the security guards were involved. We will investigate this angle as well" regarding the shootout.
Patna (central) SP Diksha said, "The man, convicted in a murder case, was a prisoner at Beur Jail and had gone to the hospital for treatment on parole. The police received information that a person was shot at by gunmen inside a private hospital in Patna at 7.30 am on Thursday. The incident took place when the deceased had come for treatment at the hospital. He was on parole" regarding the incident.
