On October 8, IAF celebrated the 93rd Indian Air Force Day in a big way at the Hindon Air Force Station in Ghaziabad.

New Delhi (India) October 8: The Indian Air Force celebrated Air Force Day 2025 at Hindon Air Base. They displayed fighter jets including the Rafale, Sukhoi Su-30MKI, and MiG-29. This shows India's aerial power and operational readiness. The IAF parade also showed Operation Sindoor's achievements.

Leaders Extend Warm Wishes

President Droupadi Murmu greeted Air Force members, veterans, and their families on Wednesday. Murmu said, "Warm greetings to all air warriors, veterans and their families on Air Force Day! The Indian Air Force has always demonstrated courage, commitment, and excellence. Our Air warriors protect our skies and serve the nation with tireless dedication during disasters and humanitarian missions” in a post on social media platform X.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also welcomed Air Force members. He praised their important role in protecting Indian skies during difficult times.

Modi said, "Greetings to all the courageous Air Warriors and their families on Air Force Day. The Indian Air Force epitomises bravery, discipline and precision. They have played a vital role in safeguarding our skies, including during the most challenging situations” on X.

Focus on Operation Sindoor

Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh saw the procession and saluted the parade. The parade was staged at Hindon Air Base. 

Singh said how Operation Sindoor was a brilliant example of what can be achieved through planning, focused training, and determined execution.

He said, "The outstanding performance of the indigenously developed and integrated weapons which delivered precise and devastating blows deep inside enemy territory, vindicates our faith in home-grown capabilities. Operation Sindoor is a shining example of what can be achieved through meticulous planning, disciplined training and determined execution".

He added, "Our performance in Operation Sindoor fills us with professional pride. It proves to the world how air power can be effectively used in shaping military outcomes in just a few days. India's bold and precise attacks restored the rightful place of offensive air action in the national consciousness.”

The 2025 theme will be revealed shortly. Each year, the theme emphasizes the IAF's might, strength, and advancements in technology. It also demonstrates the Air Force's ongoing development and preparation for any kind of situation.

Honouring the Motto

Touch the Sky with Glory," or "Nabha Sparsham Deeptam," is the motto of the Indian Air Force. It is taken from the Bhagavad Gita. It also symbolizes the bravery, self-control, and commitment of the Air Force.

General Anil Chauhan, the Chief of Defense Staff, Air Force Chief Marshal AP Singh, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi also paid their respects to the warriors at the National War Memorial.
