“We will go deep into Pakistan" says External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar

New Delhi (India) June 11: A month after India began Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terror incident, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has threatened to take revenge on terrorist organisations. In reaction to terrorist provocations, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar warned Pakistan that India is prepared to launch strikes within Pakistani territory.

According to Jaishankar, Pakistan is "a country very steeped in its use of terrorism as an instrument of state policy," the country still trains "thousands" of terrorists and sends them across the border. He warned of consequences against terrorist groups and their leaders. He also emphasized that India will not stand for such behaviour.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has warned that if terrorist actions upset India, it will strike deep into Pakistan. He also said that if terrorist groups and their leaders commit heinous crimes like the Pahalgam incident, there will be retaliation.

He said, "We don't care where they are. If they are deep in Pakistan, we will go deep into Pakistan"

"We are not going to live with it. So our message to them is that if you continue to do the kind of barbaric acts which they did in April, then there is going to be retribution, and that retribution will be against the terrorist organisations and the terrorist leadership”

According to Jaishankar, Pakistan was training "thousands" of terrorists "in the open" and "unleashing" them on India.

Jaishankar also emphasised on how successfully Indian airstrikes caused Pakistan's military infrastructure to suffer. He highlighted the successful May 10 targeting of key Pakistani airfields as a key factor in the conclusion of the four-day military conflict between the two countries.

The Foreign Minister was straightforward in his response to enquiries regarding the reported loss of Indian Air Force aircraft during the operations of Operation Sindoor.

He said, "As far as I'm concerned, how effective the Rafale was or frankly, how effective other systems were - to me the proof of the pudding are the destroyed and disabled airfields on the Pakistani side.”

Jaishankar also said the competent authorities would deal with the issue of military losses when the time was right.

In order to strengthen the bilateral relations and explain India's zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, Jaishankar will also meet with the leaders of the European Union, Belgium and France during his week-long trip to Europe.

India-Pakistan tensions increased following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam which killed 26 people. On May 7, India launched targeted attacks against terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
