Nitish Kumar sworn in again as Bihar CM; NDA celebrates massive win with 202 of 243 Assembly seats

Nitish Kumar, the current Bihar Chief Minister has become the first to take his oath for oath in the past 10 years. He and the BJP’s Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha took oath as Bihar deputy CMs at a grand ceremony in Patna’s Gandhi Maidan.

New Delhi (India) November 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Nitish Kumar thanked the Bihar population of Bihar for the historic mandate the NDA had in Assembly elections. This election, the NDA garnered a major victory over 202 of the 243 seats and the leaders wished voters a good morning and were happy to pay tribute to the state‘s development.

Nitish Kumar Takes Oath as Bihar CM for 10th Time

Mr. Kumar, who is a leader of the National Democratic Alliance, won a majority to succeed him in the election to head the NDA. Wednesday was the Legislature Party. He was then elected JD-(U) president. Legislature Party, during the meeting of the new MLAs at his house in Patna, in Patna.

He is one of the country‘s longest serving CMs and has been in office for 19 years.

Nitish Kumar became Bihar CM in 2000. The government collapsed within eight days. His next appointment was in 2005. Then in 2014, the CM was appointed again as CM, citing poor performance in JD(U) in Lok Sabha elections when he left but was replaced as CM by a new nominee in 2014.

New 26-member cabinet blends experience, new faces, and stronger women representation

Soon after Nitish Kumar had been elected as Bihar Cabinet Minister, Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha became Bihar Cabinet ministers. Other cabinet ministers included Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Shravan Kumar, and BJP leaders Mangal Pandey, Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, and Nitin Nabin.

Over 26 of the leaders signed the oath as Bihar. Cabinet Ministers:14 BJP Cabinet Ministers, 8 BJP Cabinet Ministers, 2 LJP Cabinet Ministers, 1 each of HAM-(S) and RLM Cabinet Ministers. There were 26 Muslim ministers in Nitish Kumar’s cabinet. There are nine new faces in Bihar Cabinet, including Sanjay Kumar Singh of LJP (RV) who defeated Lalu Prasad’s son Tej Pratap Yadav in Mahua assembly district. Three women were elected into Bihar Cabinet.

Known Faces In Attendance 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President J. P. Nadda also arrived at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, and Nitish Kumar was to take oath as Bihar CM soon.

Odisha CM Mohan Majhi, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Nitiyanand Rai, Giriraj Singh are present. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu, and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel also reached Gandhi Maidan.

NDA’s Landslide Victory

With the election in the new polls, the NDA triumphed in the eastern state with 202 votes in the 243-member Assembly and BJP won 89, JD(U) 85, LJP(RV) 19, HAM 5, and RLM 4.
