2nd July 2023,Mumbai: Over the course of her lengthy career, actress Priyanka Chopra has conducted numerous interviews, but her ‘rendezvous’ with Simi Garewal stands out as one of the most memorable. Simi reminisced on the past on Saturday by sharing a BTS video from Priyanka’s interview. It depicts the actor’s assistant interrupting them to fix a hairpiece for the actress.
In the video, Priyanka can be seen looking lovely in a pink dress and curly burgundy hair. She is having her hair styled by her hairdresser while sporting a long pair of dangling earrings. “So hard to be a girl”, she tells Simi. “Sometimes I wish I were a man. True, nothing, and stress-free. Just put on some jeans and a t-shirt and show up.” In response, Simi says, “Guys these days are doing a lot.” Priyanka says, “They can never do as much as we have to do. We have to sit so stiff so that one curl doesn’t go out of place.”
Simi announces, “Excuse me, we’re rolling!” as Priyanka’s stylist walks into the shot as the interview starts and she talks about a topic that is near and dear to her heart. “Take chalra hai, aap kya karrae ho (We are rolling, what are you doing)?” Priyanka also asks him. Priyanka watches in disbelief as the attendant approaches and continues to style her hair.
“RENDEZVOUS GEMS!” was the caption Simi used when posting the video. “Throwback” to Priyanka Chopra. “She doesn’t sit still’ as much anymore. She is everywhere. Priyanka Chopra Jonas is who she is. She is a global celebrity who appears on magazine covers, on screens, and in people’s hearts. We are the ones that ‘sit still’, in astonishment, as we congratulate her on her incredible success!” Her appearance in the retro video delighted the actor’s fans. “She has such good speech. I constantly feel uplifted and inspired after listening to her these days. Superior to any motivational speakers,” declared one. Another said, “She’s looking like a real Barbie doll.”
Priyanka last appeared in the rom-com Love Again and the television show Citadel. Her next projects include the Hindi film Jee Le Zaraa and Heads of State.
